You Did What?

You did what?? has been the frequent question we've been asked since our Airstream purchase earlier this December. We have been met with a range of reactions: some excitement, some awestruck, and then there have been the bemused and doubtful. Admittedly, I have limited camping experience (dearest hubby has plenty of "military-grade" camping experience that is a little over-the-top), and neither of us has experience with travel trailers, but that's all about to change!

After a recent renovation of our new (to us) suburban home, a la "Fixer Upper" style, we found ourselves searching for another adventure. Our daughter is due to graduate high school in the next three years, and my empty-nester fears have already started to kick in. While our family has been fortunate enough to have several vacation destinations under our belt, we have more we want to see.

Yosemite, Hover Dam, the Redwoods & Sequoia National Park, Yellowstone, Grand

Canyon, Wisconsin (to see family), the Oregon Vortex House of Mystery and the Winchester Mystery House (haha - yes, seriously, I want to see those last two places) are all destinations on our growing list. Biltmore, Florida Keys, Texas, Vegas (I've never been), Badlands... and then a few more eclectic stops that include places like the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, Gettysburg Museum of History (PA), etc. Oh - and have I mentioned I love antiques?! Oh the antique shopping I could do! So many places to visit, so little vacation time.

Hubby, dear daughter and I will start to combine our lists, and come up with our travel plans in the coming weeks. My goal is to post about our travel adventures, and I hope it'll be even just a little entertaining. And to our readers, please feel free to leave comments on places we should visit, and why.
